Industry Tracks ("the App") is a daily song guessing game developed by Joshua Alvarez. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.
The App uses anonymous authentication. When you first interact with the App, an anonymous user identifier is generated for you. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, or any personal contact information, and creating it does not require registration or an account.
Your gameplay data is stored on our secure backend (provided by Supabase) and associated with your anonymous identifier, so that your progress can be preserved and restored across devices. This includes:
Your chosen nickname is visible to other users on leaderboards and within leagues. Please do not use a nickname that contains personal information you wish to keep private.
The App also stores this information locally on your device for offline play. Local data can be cleared by uninstalling the App, but a copy stored on our backend allows your progress to be restored on a new device using a recovery code you generate.
The App offers optional paid subscriptions ("Industry Tracks Pro"). Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We do not collect or store your payment card details; these are handled entirely by the applicable app store. Your subscription status is associated with your anonymous user identifier.
The App relies on the following third-party service providers, which process data on our behalf:
Each of these providers maintains its own privacy practices.
Industry Tracks is a music trivia game intended for teen and adult audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App uses anonymous identifiers and does not collect names, emails, or contact details, we do not knowingly hold identifying information about any user, including children.
Anonymous scores, nicknames, and league data are retained on our backend to operate leaderboards and leagues. You can permanently delete all of your data at any time from within the App, under Settings → Profile → Delete Account. This removes your stats, nickname, recovery code, and account data from our servers. You may also contact us at the address below.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.
